The Presidents Fund.

The President’s Fund was set up many years ago to help our aspiring athletes to take part in trials, help with additional equipment needs or anything else that enabled them to succeed at the highest level. By any matrix, the success of the fund has been immense. With numerous club members going on to represent Great Britain at the World Rowing Championships, Olympics, World student games, England and other Home Countries.

However, over the years the number of members on the GB pathway has declined as the budgets for these programmes has been cut. Therefore, the President’s Fund has also shifted its focus to supporting those members who represent the club at the top level of the domestic calendar, such as Henley, the Home Internationals, and trials for National recognition.

We have also released money to support coaching course fees, and technical equipment that will improve all our competing member’s performance.

There is no doubt that the fund is still relevant, important and crucial in helping our athletes, coaches and wider membership.

The cost to support the above is either £100 per year or £9 per calendar month, for that there will be three £100 prize draws:  One at the Annual club dinner, One at the President’s BBQ (at the clubhouse) and one at Nottingham City Regatta, where the club gazebo will be sited on the scoreboard side and food and drink will be served with the competing athletes in attendance.
